HOLI 2025
Holi 2025 – an explosion of emotions, colors and unbridled fun!
On March 17, the Belarusian State Medical University hosted a bright and memorable event – the celebration of the Indian festival of Holi, which brought joy, fun and bright colors into our atmosphere. This year the celebration became especially significant, as the university was visited by the guest of honor – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Republic of Belarus Ashok Kumar.
Holi, known as the festival of colors, symbolizes the coming of spring, the rebirth of life and the banishment of evil. It is one of India’s oldest and most colorful festivals, celebrated with parades, folk songs and dances. Participants of Holi sprinkle each other with colorful powders (gulal), which are made from corn flour and dyed in different colors such as red, green, pink and yellow, and doused with water. The festival is inclusive of all, regardless of age, gender or social status, and its atmosphere is conducive to forgetting enmity, problems and immersing oneself in communal merriment.
